CHAPTER 1
- Lonesome Sora
A deep breath filled the empty room of the apartment complex with one sound, the one sound that made the empty night. The brunette stood up from the comforting seat and walked forward to the door. The knob turned at the will of his hand as he advanced outside, but instead of meeting the old winter wind, Sora saw a shadowy figure standing at the front of his doorway.
"Hello?" asked Sora as he lost focus on the shadow, listening to his own voice echo across the silence. When his diamond blue eyes looked forward, the figure was gone, and the cold wind was back. Weird... he blinked out at the street lights, almost starring at the loneliness that surrounded the very building he called Home. Ringing haunted Sora's mind and ears just as he closed the door. The phone rang again but quieter than before. Sora took small footsteps to the phone, hesitant to answer. A third ring added more fear and noise to Sora's worry. Just before the phone had a chance to ring a fourth time, his hand took a grip on the noise maker and raised it to his ear.
Sora started to speak, repeating his question just like before, "Hello?" He ruffled his spiky hair and sat back in his previous seat. Sora started to breathe heavier, frightening himself as he heard it through the phone.
"Hey Sora, are we still on for tomorrow?" asked the voice on the phone. The caller sounded vaguely familiar, but Sora failed to reach his normal rate of breathing in order to answer.
"Sora, you there?" The voice was now louder and more clear, Riku was the caller, and now the one hanged up on. On Riku's side of the phone, it repeated a loud beep noise, so he suspected they lost connection. Sora sighed, placing the phone down on the hook. The brunette glanced at the digital clock for the time, and surprisingly, the time was not as late as suspected. '10:48a.m.'
His feet got to the floor and started to walk him to his room. His steps stopped at the doorway and quickly returned the living room, from fear. Sora was not having the greatest of all nights. He ran to his couch, jumping in his seat and holding himself.
What is the matter Sora? Are you missing something!?
The loud voice was heard by Sora, but did not echo like all the other noise. This voice was Sora's mind alone. He shut his eyes tight and started to cry.
